However, if you end up adding cheese to your diet, the dairy product has a &#8216;less-desirable&#8217; effect resulting in interference with iron absorption.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, if you are a vegetarian you can find other great sources that are rich in protein.<\/p>\n<h2>Magnesium and its effect on ADHD symptoms<\/h2>\n<p>Deficiency in magnesium levels is seen to cause mental confusions and irritability that result in an individual having lowered attention span.<\/p>\n<p>Experts at the Maryland Medical Center in the USA say children diagnosed with ADHD might have a magnesium deficiency.<\/p>\n<p>A study observed 75 children with known magnesium deficiency later had an ADHD diagnosis. Nevertheless, those who were administered magnesium-based supplements were seen to showcase improved behavioral traits in comparison to others who did not.<\/p>\n<p>Another study analyzed the levels of magnesium in children diagnosed with ADHD. The results were seen to be positive for deficient levels of magnesium in 95 percent of the ADHD children.<\/p>\n<h2>The Importance of Zinc<\/h2>\n<p>An earlier study that was done to understand the supplemental effects of zinc highlights the effectiveness of zinc in combating impulsive behavior, impaired social activity and reducing hyperactivity of individuals diagnosed with ADHD.<\/p>\n<p>It was further observed zinc sulfates are well tolerated by ADHD individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, it is equally important to understand what could actually be causing a reduction in zinc levels.<\/p>\n<p>Observations play a greater role in understanding the underlying symptoms.
